At Mansell Media, we see this all the time. A business spends good money on a website, it looks great, it has all the information it needs, but it is slow. That one issue WILL hurt everything else related to your website and its SEO.

A faster website simply performs better. When a site loads quickly, people stay on it longer, they click more, and they are more likely to take action. That will mean more calls, more form submissions, or more sales. Google studies show that improved page load speed times will have click-through rate increased by 30 percent on desktop. That is a direct result of speed.

The reason is simple. People expect things to load immediately. If they click on your site and it drags, they do not wait around. They leave.

Speed is not a tech issue, it is a business issue.

When we talk about website speed, there are really three things that matter. First is how fast your main content shows up. If your headline or main image takes too long to load, you have already lost people. Second is how quickly your site responds. If someone clicks a button and nothing happens right away, it feels broken. Third is stability. If your page jumps around while it loads, it creates a bad experience and people lose trust.

Most slow websites are not slow by accident. They are overloaded. Too many plugins, too many scripts, too many things running in the background. Every extra piece adds weight, and that weight slows everything down.

At the end of the day, a faster website keeps people engaged and drives better results. If your site is slow, you are likely losing opportunities every single day without realizing it.
