Hi everyone! My name is Beulah Vimalasekaran, and I’m so excited to be back in Clinton for my internship semester.

My journey to Clinton, Mississippi, feels a lot like coming full circle. I first lived here with my family back in 2008, when my dad, Dr. Peter Vimalasekaran, studied at Reformed Theological Seminary. During that time, I attended First Baptist Preschool, while my mom, Louise Vimalasekaran, faithfully cared for my older sister and me. Our family also became members of Morrison Heights Baptist Church, which has supported my parents in their ministry with refugees in Germany ever since. For me, Clinton became more than just a place we lived—it became part of who I am.

My background is a blend of Sri Lankan, British, and German influences, which has given me a unique perspective on cultures and people. That’s also what led me to study International Marketing. I love bringing people together, sharing ideas with enthusiasm, and inspiring others to see value in what I’m passionate about. Marketing is a field where those strengths naturally come to life—and where cultural understanding makes all the difference.

When it came to choosing where to complete my internship semester for my International Marketing degree at Hochschule Pforzheim University, I didn’t necessarily have to go abroad. I could have stayed in Germany—but I felt drawn to return to Clinton. Honestly, I wasn’t sure at first if it would work out, since the details weren’t clear. But thanks to the kindness of Mr. Clay Mansell, the owner of Mansell Media, who was willing to go through all the paperwork with me, the opportunity opened up. I’m very grateful for his support in making this possible.

I’m thankful that God has guided my steps back to Clinton, allowing me to combine both personal roots and professional growth. This internship is not just a career opportunity, but also a chance to reconnect with a place that has always felt like home. I’m excited to be part of the team at Mansell Media this semester and deeply thankful to both the community at Morrison Heights and the people of Clinton for making me feel at home again. I look forward to sharing more updates about this journey soon!
