Coffee can work as a morning boost or a nice addition to a relaxing day off. However, finding the type of coffee can be tricky, because there are so many to choose from!
Here is a little cheat sheet to help you navigate the coffee world!
The coffee bean: Generally, there are 2 types of coffee beans: Arabica, the most popular, and Rubusta. Arabica is sweeter and typically used for black coffee. Robusta has more caffeine, and its bitter flavor makes it perfect for espresso drinks.
Coffee drink types - Hot:
Balck - Just coffee.
Latte - Espresso and steamed mil.
Cappuccino - Espress, steamed milk, and foam.
Americano - Espresso and hot water.
Espresso - 1 oz of espresso.
Macchiato - Espresso shot and foam.
Mocha - Espresso, chocolate, and steamed milk.
Coffee drink types - Cold:
Iced coffee - Coffee, ice and cream or sugar.
Iced Espresso - Espresso shot, ice, and cream or sugar.
Frappuccino - Coffee or espresso, blended ice, and whip cream.
Cold Brew - Coffee grounds soaked in water, ice.
Nitro - Coffee, nitrogen bubbles, and cream or sugar.
Milk Options: Coffee doesn't have to be mixed with just dairy milk, there are a ton of vegan options! Almond, soy, and coconut milk are great substitutes. Oat milk, my favorite, add some sweetness to coffee but not too much.
Whether you try to make your own coffee at home or stop by your local coffee shop, you can explore all of what coffee has to offer!
